The apparatus shall have a chassis furnished with a 2-door conventional cab and chassis. Chassis-cab shall be suitable for subsequent mounting of a modular (containerized); transferable equipped apparatus body conforming to the requirements specified herein. CHASSIS PREP
The following items shall be installed on the commercial chassis in preparation for fire apparatus/rescue application:
Back up alarm - An electronic backup alarm shall be supplied. The 97 dB(A) alarm shall be wired into the chassis backup lights to

signal when the vehicle is in reverse.
Rear Mount Fuel Tank - There shall be a rear mounted fuel tank furnished with the chassis. The fuel fill shall be located on the left

rear of the apparatus.
Rear Mud Flaps - Black rubber rear mud laps shall be installed behind the rear duals.
Fuel Fill - The fuel fill shall extend to the rear of the apparatus with 2'' I.D. Hose and fittings.
Label Fuel Type - Located above each fuel filler housing shall be a metal label that designates fuel requirements. It shall be black with

white or equivalent contrasting letters a minimum of .5'' high.
Horizontal Chassis Exhaust - The chassis exhaust system shall be extended to the rear of the right rear wheel.
Front Bumper Replacement and Warn Winch
The factory bumper shall be removed and a black powder coated grill and brush guard shall be installed on the front bumper for protection of the chassis grill and headlights and shall be designed to hold a Warn Winch.

Dash Console
A Galls model L-VE169 "Jotto Desk" dash console shall be furnished and mounted in the center area of the lower dash area.  Department to specify style of 2-way radio to be installed.  Siren head shall be mounted in the console.

Wheel Simulator Kit
Front and Rear Stainless Steel simulator kit shall be provided.  Kit is to include AMERICAN MADE RealWheels American Road Series

mirror finish, 304L grade, non-corrosive stainless steel front and rear full wheel simulators, D.O.T user friendly.  They shall simulate the
look of aluminum wheels and come complete with stainless steel lug nut covers (chrome plated steel lug nut covers not acceptable).

ALUMINUM BODY
The Aluminum sheet material used in fabricating the body shall be a minimum of 0.1875 (3/16") in thickness. The body shall be

fabricated of aluminum extrusions, smooth aluminum sheet and aluminum tread plate.

The aluminum extrusion alloy shall be 6061 with temper rating of T6, and have a tensile strength of 45,000 PSI and yield strength of
40,000 pounds. The aluminum extrusions shall be 3" x 3" aluminum tubing and specially designed extrusions where applicable.

The smooth aluminum sheet material alloy shall be 5052 with a temper rating of H32, and have a tensile strength of 30,000 PSI and
yeild strength of 28,000 pounds. The aluminum tread plate alloy shall be 3003 with a temper rating of H22, and have a tensile strength
of 30,000 PSI and yield strength of 28,000 pounds.

The extrusions shall be designed as structural-framing members with the smooth aluminum and tread plate fabricated to form
compartments, hosebeds, and floors. All aluminum material shall be welded together using the latest mig spray pulse arc welding
system.

Compartments to be sweep out design and to be water and dust proof. All compartments shall be made to maximum practical
dimensions to provide maximum storage capacity. All exterior compartments shall have polished aluminum drip moldings installed
above the doors where necessary to prevent water from entering the compartments.

Wheel Well Panels and Fenderettes
Wheel well panels shall be double break formed smooth aluminum that is welded in place. There shall be no visible bolt heads, retention
nuts or fasteners on the exterior surface of the panel. The frame side of the wheel well area on each side of the opening shall be
attached to the frame side of the front and rear compartments. All seams on the frame side of the body shall be welded and caulked to
prevent moisture from entering the compartments. The rear wheel wells shall be radius cut for a streamlined appearance. A polished
aluminum fenderette shall be furnished at each rear wheel well opening, held in place with stainless steel fasteners.
For ease of accessibility and maintenance, wheel well panels shall be 3/16" aluminum tread plate that is welded in place. The rear
wheel wells shall be radius cut for a streamlined appearance. A polished aluminum fenderette shall be furnished at each rear wheel well
opening, held in place with concealed stainless steel fasteners.
Fasteners
All aluminum and stainless steel components shall be attached using stainless steel fasteners. Compartment door hinges, handrails
and running boards shall be attached using minimum 1/4" diameter machine bolt fasteners. 3/16" diameter fasteners shall only be used
in non structural areas such as; doors handles, trim moldings, gauge mounting, ect.
Body Dimensions
Apparatus body shall be up to 116" long and 95" wide, reference drawing for actual body length. Body compartments shall be full depth

from top to bottom. Each compartment shall be approximately 23.5" in depth. The area between the body sides shall be 48" wide. Rear
of the body compartment shall be angled for a 30-degree angle of departure.
Aluminum Sub-Frame
The main body sub-frame shall be extruded aluminum and be fully welded to the longitudinal frame rail extrusions that are mounted
parallel to the chassis frame rails.

The main body sub-frame shall be constructed of no less than four (4) extruded aluminum tubes running full width of the apparatus body.
A minimum of two (2) full body width tubes shall be provided ahead of and behind the rear axle forming the main body support
cross members. The main crosstubes shall be fully welded to the vertical and horizontal extrusions forming the body super-structure,
described elsewhere herein.

For added strength and rigidity, no less than (6) intermediate body cross members shall be provided constructed extruded aluminum
tubes. The intermediate structural cross members shall be interconnected and welded to the main body tubular cross members forming
a fully welded support grid for the body super-structure compartments.

The subframe cross members shall be attached to the chassis frame rails using heavy "U" bolt fasteners to allow removal of the subrame and body assembly from the chassis. There shall be a barrier provided between the subframe and body to prevent electrolysis.
Rear Tow Eyes
There shall be two (2) tow eyes furnished under the rear of the body and attached directly to each chassis frame rail. There shall be a
reinforcement spreader bar connecting the two tow eyes. Tow eyes are to be constructed of 3/8" plate steel with a 4" I.D. hole, large
enough for passing through a tow chain end hook.

COMPARTMENTATION
There shall be large enclosed compartments on both sides of the body, starting at the front of the hosebody and continuing to the rear of the apparatus. These compartments shall be as large as possible, using the available space

The aluminum tread plate compartmentation tops on each side of the body shall be extended out and downwards a minimum of 0.50" over the compartment doors forming a drip rail. Corners shall be TIG welded.

Lower or rear face compartments, if specified shall be provided with polished aluminum drip rails.
Compartment Vents
All body compartments shall have a minimum of one (1) louvered panel bolted into a wall to provide the proper airflow inside the compartment. There shall be a filter installed behind the louvered panel. The filter shall be accessible for cleaning by removing the louvered panel on the interior of the compartment.
Side Body Compartment Roll-Up Door Construction
Exterior side equipment compartments so specified shall be equipped with roll-up shutter doors to be installed as specified herein.
The drum assembly shall be fully enclosed and protected from the elements. Pendent plates supporting the door roll assembly shall be bolted in place, adjustable and capable of being removed with common hand tools. Pendent plates and supports that are welded in place do not meet the maintenance and service criteria of these specifications.
Natural Finish Roll-Up Doors
The roll-up doors on each side of the apparatus body shall be natural finish aluminum.
Roll-Up Doors
R.O.M. Robinson Brand extruded aluminum shutter style doors with lift bar latch mechanisms and associated hardware shall be provided and installed as specified.
Flat Back Body
The rear vertical surface of the body shall be flat from side to side.

SIX BODY COMPARTMENTS
Driver side compartments shall be furnished as follows:
> One compartment ahead of the rear wheels with full height roll-up door. The compartment shall be approximately
...34"wide x 60"high x 22"deep.
> One compartment above the rear wheels with one roll-up door. The compartment shall be approximately 48"wide x 37"high x 22"deep.
> One compartment behind the rear wheels with full height roll-up door. The compartment shall be approximately
...34"wide x 45"high x 22"deep.

Passenger side compartments shall be furnished as follows:
> One compartment ahead of the rear wheels with full height roll-up door. The compartment shall be approximately
...34"wide x 60"high x 22"deep.
> One compartment above the rear wheels with one roll-up door. The compartment shall be approximately 48"wide x 37"high x 22"deep.
> One compartment behind the rear wheels with full height roll-up door. The compartment shall be approximately
...34"wide x 45"high x 22"deep.

REAR BODY CONFIGURATION
The rear of the body shall be open for the placement of a rear mount pump or slide-in skid unit. The open area shall be approximately
49"wide x 116"long x 45"deep.
Extruded Aluminum Rails
Full body length polished aluminum rub rails shall be bolted in place on the right and left body sides and in the pump panel area.
The rub rails shall extend outward beyond the body sides for protection of the compartments and doors. There shall be a bolt on
aluminum corner casting on each rear corner to blend the rear tail board assembly with the side rub rails. The side rub rails shall be a
heavy extruded aluminum "C" channel.
Side and Rear Overlays
Overlay panels shall be constructed of 3003 polished aluminum tread plate. Polished aluminum overlay shall be provided and installed in
the following area:
> The front face of each side compartment.
> The rear body face and vertical area above tail board.
Overlay shall be installed with "Aluminized stainless steel bolts to prevent corrosion.
Slip-Resistant Walkway Surface
All exterior surfaces designated as stepping, standing, and walking areas shall have an aluminum slip-resistant overlay material
installed. The slip-resistant overlay material shall have a raised serrated surface that will allow moisture to drain out either side. The
recessed surface shall be one piece solid material to prevent road spray and debris from entering the top surface from below. The
slip-resistant overlay material shall meet the requirements of NFPA 15.7.3.1. The slip-resistant surface shall be installed in the
following areas of the apparatus body:

> Step areas of the side running boards.
> Rear step running board step.
> Walkway and standing platforms.

Rear Step/Running Boards
The apparatus body running boards and rear step shall be constructed with slip-resistant surface and shall have bright aluminum
tread plate trim around the outside edges. Side running boards and rear step shall be removable for ease of service in case of damage.
Rear Step/Tailboard
A single piece 0.188 rear step/tailboard shall be furnished that is a minimum of 8.00" deep and full width of the apparatus body, from
rubrail to rubrail. The tail board shall be provided with a removable casting on each corner for a pleasing appearance.
Handrails
Access handrails shall be 1-1/4" in diameter extruded aluminum with rubber insert. Access rail escutcheons and brackets shall be
chrome plated and attached with stainless steel bolts. Anchoring of posts and framing members for railings of all types shall be of
such construction that the completed railing structure shall be capable of with standing a load of at least 225 pounds applied in any
direction at any point along the rail.
Rear Handrails
Two (2) vertical access handrails shall be provided and mounted on the rear of the apparatus body, one on each side. Each rear handrail
to be approximately 48" long. Rear Folding Steps Two (2) NFPA approved folding steps shall be provided and mounted on the rear of the
apparatus, one on each side. All access steps shall have a minimum surface area of 35 square inches, and have a slip-resistant
standing surface. The step shall be capable of supporting a 500 lb. load.

HOSEBEDS
There shall be a recessed hosebed mounted on each side of the apparatus. Hosebed shall be recessed into the
catwalk, in the area behind the roll-up door.

PUMP
Water Pump
The water pump shall be a Hale HPX300-H20. The pump body shall be made of alloy aluminum castings coupled together with a stainless steel band clamp with an O-ring seal which allows quick pump volute removal for servicing. The pump end shall be factory hydrostatically tested to 250 PSI for 10 minutes. The impeller shall be bronze. The renewable clearance rings shall be made of anodic plated bronze to inhibit galvanic corrosion. The impeller shall be 8.75 inches in diameter and designed with a sleeve back end to prevent water from coming in contact with the engine shaft. The pump shaft seal shall be an automatically adjusting, maintenance free, mechanical type. The pump body shall be equipped with a petcock drain valve.


The pump shall be equipped with an exhaust venture primer of brass and stainless steel construction. The primer shall be actuated with
a spring return, single control lever located at the operator's panel. The primer to pump line shall be equipped with an automatic check
valve for priming from an open body of water and a manual shutoff for pumping from a pressurized water source.

The pump shall be driven by a 4-cycle gasoline Honda series GX620, overhead valve, air cooled design. Engine rating shall be 20 BHP
at 3600. Engine displacement shall be 614cc and shall be designed to meet 1994 CARB standards. A 12Volt electric system shall be
provided with electric starter and a 20 amp alternator. Recoil backup engine starting shall be provided. Engine shall be equipped with a
residential muffler with USDA approved spark arrestor and a removable heat isolation blanket. The pump shall be mounted on the rear
of the flat bed body and shall be controlled from the rear.  
Pump performance shall be as follows:
           
            390 GPM @ 25 PSI
            310 GPM @ 50 PSI
            250 GPM @ 75 PSI
            150 GPM @ 100 PSI
 
Pump will have the ability to draft from 12 vertical feet.

Controls
The following instruments and controls shall be provided on the operators control panel located at the rear of the truck:
> Engine ignition/start switch
> Engine throttle control
> Engine choke control
> Master Switch
> Pump primer control
> Class 1 2.5" master water pressure gauge, white dial.
> Oil pressure warning light

TANK
Tank Fill
A 1" line shall be connected between the pump and the tank with 1" valve, controlled at the pump operator's position shall be installed.
Tank Suction
The pump suction shall be connected to the tank with a flexible hose for ease of service and to reduce vibration. A 2.5" quarter turn ball

valve shall be provided between the pump and the tank.
Booster Tank
The booster tank shall be rectangular in configuration and shall have a capacity of 400 gallons. All tank sides, top and bottom, shall be

constructed of 1/2'' black UV stabilized copolymer polypropylene. The tank shall be constructed utilizing latest thermo plastic welding
technology. A clean, hot air controlled temperature process shall ensure that the weld reaches its plasticized state without cold or hot
spots. The tank shall undergo extensive testing prior to installation in the truck. The process shall include an electronic spark and
water fill test after both the internal and external tank shell welds are completed. The tank shall have a combination vent and manual fill
tower. The tower shall be located in the left front corner of the tank The tower shall have a hinged cover and 1/4'' thick polypropylene
screen. There shall be two (2) standard tank openings; one for the tank to pump suction line with an anti-swirl plate and one for a tank
fill line. Baffles, both longitudinal and latitudinal shall be interlocking and thermo welded to minimize water surge during travel, enhancing
road-handling stability. The tank shall be mounted on hard rubber cushions to isolate the tank from road shock and vibration. The tank
shall be completely removable without disturbing or dismounting the apparatus body structure. Welded to the top of the tank shall be
mounting brackets for the hose reel. Tank sight level gauge shall be included in the tank.
Foam Tank
A 10 gallon poly foam tank shall be an integral part of the water tank.  A 1" outlet shall be on the foam tank for connection to the foam

system.  A separate foam fill tower shall be on top of the tank.

PLUMBING AND DISCHARGES
Stainless Steel Plumbing
All discharge and suction plumbing and manifolds shall be constructed of schedule 40 stainless steel using victaulic couplings for ease

of service and to prevent vibration.  The vertical square tubing discharge manifold shall be furnished with a twist style drain valve at the
bottom of the manifold.
Suction Inlet
One (1) 2.5" female chrome plated suction inlet, complete with a chrome cap and chain shall be supplied at the rear of the body.

Booster Hose Reel - Hannay Reels
A Hannay booster reel Model EF20-30-31 shall be installed on the passenger side rear body corner. The reel shall be constructed

utilizing an all welded base. Reel bushings shall be manufactured from Nylatron to insure maintenance free operation. A 12 volt
electrical motor shall be provided and will rewind the reel with a chain and sprocket drive mechanism. The reel shall have a capacity of
200' of 1'' booster hose. A, fully shielded rewind switch shall be provided on the body on the same side as the reel. Electrical switch
connections shall be coated to protect against moisture. Chrome finish rollers and guides with nylon bushings shall be provided.
Plumbing to the reel shall be a 1” flexible line with the discharge control by a 1” quarter turn ball valve located at the operators control
area.
1-1/2" Rear Preconnect
One (1) 1.5" male chrome plated discharge outlet with a quarter turn ball valve shall be provided at the rear of the hose bed for

preconnected 1-1/2" lines.  A 1-1/2" 90 degree brass swivel shall be furnished for attaching the fire hose.
2-1/2” Rear Discharge
One (1) 2.5" male chrome plated discharge outlet with a quarter turn ball valve shall be provided at the pump operators area on the rear

of the apparatus.
 
A 2.5" x 1.5" reducer with a 1.5" chrome cap and chain shall be provided.

FOAM SYSTEM
Scotty Foam System
A Scotty model 4071 around the pump, Class A foam system shall be installed and will supply foam to all discharges.  An 8 gallon

foam tank shall be installed  on an aluminum tread plate mounting bracket on the rear of the booster tank and connected to the foam
system.  Controls for the foam system shall be located at the rear operators area. Five gallons of Class A foam shall be supplied with
the unit.

ELECTRICAL AND WIRING SYSTEM
Electrical wiring, hydraulic lines, air system tubing, and control cables shall be fastened to the frame or body structure of the apparatus

and shall be furnished with protective looms, grommets, or other devices, so that any such connector and/or wiring will be protected
from shear or tear. The body 12Volt electrical system shall be designed specifically for the apparatus body. Automatic reset circuit
breakers shall be provided and installed in all circuits. Wiring data shall be provided with the completed apparatus.

All electrical wiring shall be 14-gauge heavy strand copper with type GXL crosslink high temperature insulation, being circuit function
printed every three-inches along its entire length.
 
The following electrical equipment and lights shall be provided and installed:

Tail Lights
Two (2) Whelen #60X000RU rectangular red stop/tail lights shall be provided and mounted at the rear of the body, one on each side.

Directional Lights
Two (2) Whelen #60X000QU amber arrow directional signal lights shall be provided and mounted at the rear of the
body, one on each side below the stop/tail lights.
Backup Lights
Two (2) Whelen 60J000CU rectangular clear backup lights shall be provided and mounted, one on each side at the rear of the body.
The backup lights shall be mounted below the rear stop/tail and directional lights.
Clearance Lights
There shall be clearance marker lights installed meeting all DOT requirements. The vehicle clearance lights shall be recess mounted within the rear center tail board step.
License Plate Bracket
A license plate mounting bracket shall be provided complete with a chrome-plated shielded indirect type light. Bracket shall be mounted at the rear of the apparatus body.
Battery Disconnect Switch
A master on/off switch shall be provided and mounted in a convenient location to the driver.   The master switch must be in the on

position for the emergency warning lights and siren to function.
Dash Mounted Emergency Electrical Switch Panel
An electrical switch panel shall be designed and mounted in the cab dash area.  The switch panel shall be a Federal SW300 with 6

switches.
Switches
All emergency light switches shall be lighted, rocker style.  A plug-in identification label is to be provided and installed adjacent to each

rocker switch with back lighting provided behind the label.

LIGHTING EQUIPMENT
Light Bar
A Federal Signal Model JLL6002, JetStream 60" length LED light bar shall be mounted on the chassis cab roof to meet NFPA upper

zone A lighting requirement.  The lightbar shall have the following equipment:
> (1) Traffic clearing lights
> (12) ModLED light modules, red
> (8) Flashing patterns
> clear domes
Rear Warning
Two (2) Federal model 100F beacons mounted on the rear of the apparatus body to meet the NFPA Zone B, C, D upper level lighting
requirement. The lights shall be activated through the master emergency light switch located on the electrical console. Each light to
have the following equipment:
> (1) 175-FPM rotator
> (1) Polycarbonate base
> 1 red lens / 1 amber lens
Upper Zone " B, C, D" Light Mounting
The upper rear lights designated for Upper Zone "B" shall be mounted on cast aluminum stanchions attached to the apparatus body,
one on each side.
Zone "A" Front Lights
There shall be two (2) Federal Modled1F LED lights furnished on the front grill to meet the NFPA Zone "A" lower level lighting
requirement. The LED lights shall be connected to a flasher and be activated through the master emergency light switch located
on the electrical console. Each light shall have a red lens.
Zone "B, D" Side Lights
There shall be three (3) Federal Modled1F LED lights furnished on each side of the apparatus to meet the NFPA Zone "B, D" lower
level lighting requirement. One light mounted as far forward as possible, one light mounted as far to the rear as possible, and one light
mounted between the front and rear lights. The lights shall be connected to a flasher and be activated through the master emergency
light switch located on the electrical console.
Zone "C" Rear Lights
There shall be two (2) Federal Modled1F LED lights furnished on the rear of the apparatus body to meet the NFPA Zone "C" lower level
lighting requirement. The LED lights shall be connected to a flasher and be activated through the master emergency light switch
located on the electrical console. Each light shall have a red lens.
Compartment Lighting
All side and rear exterior equipment compartments shall be provided with one (1) clear compartment light mounted to the side walls of

the compartment. Compartment lights shall switch on automatically when the compartment door is opened and switch off when the
door is closed.
Open Compartment/Hazard Warning Light
A red flashing, warning light shall be provided and installed in the driver's compartment to indicate an open passenger or apparatus
compartment door. The hazard light shall also be attached to folding equipment racks and light towers as specified. Light shall be
properly marked and identified.
Rear Deck Lights
Two (2) Unity brand chrome plated rear deck lights shall be mounted at the headache rack location.  Mounts shall be capable of a 180

degree rotation for the purpose of illumination of work area.
Under Cab Lighting
There shall be two (2) lights furnished below the chassis cab, one on each side below each door. The lights shall be wired to switch

with the compartment lights.
Under Body Lighting
There shall be two (2) lights furnished below the pump house running board, one on each side. The lights shall be wired to turn on and

off with a switch located on the pump operator's panel.

There shall be two (2) lights furnished below the front compartments, one on each side. The lights shall be activated by the park brake.
Rear Step Lights
Two (2) chrome plated lights shall be furnished and installed on the rear face of the body to illuminate the rear step area. Lights shall be wired to the panel light switch at the pump operator's panel.
Engine Compartment Work Light
An engine compartment work light shall be provided complete with a switch mounted on the light head.

SIREN SYSTEM
Siren Speaker
One (1) Dynamax 100Watt speaker shall be provided and recess mounted in the front bumper of the chassis. The speaker shall be

connected to the electronic siren control unit.
Electronic Siren
A Whelen Model WS-295HF, 100/200Watt electronic siren with Hands Free feature, and hard wired microphone shall be provided and

mounted in the cab.

PAINTING
All bright metal fittings if unavailable in stainless steel shall be heavily chrome-plated. Iron fittings shall be copper plated prior to chrome
plating. All seams shall be caulked both inside and along the exterior edges with an automotive sealant to prevent moisture from
entering between any body panels.

The body and all parts shall be thoroughly washed with grease cutting solvents prior to any sanding. After the body has been sanded
and the minor imperfections filled and sanded, the body shall be washed again with a solution to remove any contaminants on the
surface. The first coating to be applied is a self-etching primer for maximum adhesion to the body metal. The next three coats shall be
an acrylic, urethane, primer surfacer. The primer surfacer coat is to be hand sanded with 600-gritt sandpaper to insure maximum gloss
to the paint. The last step is the application of at least three coats of Concept Acrylic Urethane two component color.

The fire pump and all rigid discharge and suction plumbing shall be painted silver in color.

While constructing the truck body, all aluminum parts shall be properly fitted on the body. The backside of all aluminum parts shall be
sanded smooth of any burrs and sharp edges.

All aluminum parts shall be bolted to the body using stainless steel fasteners. Cadmium plated fasteners are not acceptable.

During reassembly of the apparatus, care shall be exercised in fitting and fastening the parts back in their respective position on the
vehicle.

UNDERCOATING
The body subframe shall be undercoated with a heavy-duty automotive type undercoating before the rubber backing and the
compartments are attached. After the body has been attached to the subframe and all final items have been installed the entire body
assembly shall be undercoated.

PAINT BODY TO MATCH CHASSIS
The apparatus body to be painted to match the chassis color.

BOOSTER HOSE AND NOZZLE
Booster Hose
One hundred (100) foot length of 1-inch rubber covered booster hose, high-pressure type at least 800 lbs test, coupled and installed on

the specified booster hose reel.
Booster Hose
One fifty (50) foot length of 1-inch rubber covered booster hose, high-pressure type at least 800 lbs test, coupled and installed on the

specified booster hose reel.
1" Booster Nozzle
A Viper 1"  pistol grip booster hose nozzle shall be supplied.


12VOLT ELECTRICAL CERTIFICATION
The low voltage electrical system shall be tested and certified per NFPA 1901 requirements. A certificate of compliance shall be provided
with the completed vehicle upon delivery.

Minimum electrical load consists of the total amperage required to simultaneously operate the following in a stationary mode at the
incident scene.
> The propulsion engine and transmission
> All Clearance and marker lights
> The communication radio. (Default of 5.0 amps used for testing).
> Illumination of all walking surfaces, the ground at all egress points, controls and instrument panels and 50% of the total compartment
...lighting load.
> Minimum warning lights required for "Blocking Right of Way" mode.
> The current to simultaneously operate any fire pump, aerial device & hydraulic pumps.
> Anything defined by the purchaser to be critical to the mission of the apparatus.

The first test for the electrical system is the Reserve Capacity Test. All the above listed components operate with the engine shut off.
After 10 minutes all electrical loads are shut off and the battery system must have adequate reserve power to start the engine.

The second test is the Alternator Performance Test at Idle. All the above listed components operate with the engine at an idle.
There can be no current draw from the batteries of the apparatus.

The third test is the Alternator Performance Test at Full Load. All electrical components shall be activated with the engine
operating at governed RPM for two hours. During the test the system voltage can not drop below 11.7Volts or have excessive battery
discharge for more than 120 seconds. Any loads not listed in the minimum electrical load may be load managed in order to pass the
test.

All of the above tests must be conducted with the engine compartment at approximately 200 degrees.

REFLECTIVE SAFETY STRIPE AND LETTERING
Lettering shall be done in Scotchlite reflective lettering. Lettering to be placed on each cab door as directed by fire department.

Maximum of sixty (60) letters.
A 4" wide 3M brand Scotchlite #680-10 reflective stripe shall be affixed to the perimeter of the vehicle.  Striping shall be placed up to 60"
above ground level and shall conform to NFPA reflectivity requirements.  The side stripe shall be applied straight across the cab
side door area. The stripe shall be white in color.

IDENTIFICATION & SAFETY LABELS
A permanent plate shall be installed in the driver's compartment to specify the quantity and type of the following fluids in the vehicle:
1. Engine oil
2. Engine coolant
3. Transmission fluid
4. Pump Transmission Lubrication Fluid
5. Pump Primer Fluid (if applicable)
6. Drive Axle Lubrication Fluid
7. Air-Conditioning Refrigerant
8. Air-Conditioning Lubrication Oil
9. Power Steering Fluid
10. Transfer Case Fluid
11. Equipment Rack Fluid
12. Air Compressor System Lubricant
13. Generator System Lubricant

A permanent plate shall be installed in the driver's compartment specifying the maximum number of personnel the vehicle is designed
to carry per NFPA standards. It shall be located in an area visible to the driver.

An accident prevention sign stating "DANGER PERSONNEL MUST BE SEATED AND SEAT BELTS MUST BE FASTENED WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION OR DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY MAY RESULT." The warning sign shall be placed so it is visible from all seating positions.

An accident prevention sign stating "DANGER DO NOT RIDE ON REAR STEP WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY MAY RESULT." The warning sign shall be placed so it is visible from the rear step of the vehicle.
If an inlet located at the pump operator's position is valved, it shall be provided with a permanent label that states "WARNING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH COULD OCCUR IF INLET IS SUPPLIED BY A PRESSURIZED SOURCE WHEN THE VALVE IS CLOSED."

OPERATION / SERVICE MANUALS
The manufacturer shall provide with the vehicle upon delivery, one (1) complete delivery manual. These manuals shall be in a notebook type binder, with reference tabs for each section of the vehicle. Within each section shall be:
1. Individual component manufacturer instruction and parts manuals.
2. Warranty forms for body
3. Warranty forms for all major components
4. Warranty instructions and format to be used in compliance to warranty obligations
5. Wiring diagrams
6. Installation instructions and drawings for major parts
7. Visual graphics, electronic photos of installations of major parts
8. Necessary normal routine service forms, publications and components of body portion of the apparatus
9. Technical publications on training and instructions for major body components
10. Warning and safety related notices for personnel protection
11. Cab and chassis manuals on parts, service and maintenance shall be provided
12. UL Pump Certification sheets, including the Manufacturer's Record of Apparatus construction details
13. Certificate of Compliance to Electrical Warning System Low Voltage Test
14. Line Voltage Electrical System Test certificate
15. Water tank capacity certificate

DELIVERY
The completed unit shall be delivered, under its own power, to the fire department.
The department shall be given instructions on the proper use of the apparatus.

WARRANTY
We warrant each new motorized fire apparatus manufactured by EMERGENCY VEHICLES OF TEXAS for a period of ONE YEAR from

the date of delivery, except for chassis and other components noted herein.
 
Under this warranty we agree to furnish any parts to replace those that have failed due to defective material or workmanship where there

is no indication of abuse, neglect, unusual or other than normal service providing that such parts are, at the option of EMERGENCY
VEHICLES OF TEXAS, made available for our inspection at our request, returned to our factory or other location designated by us with
transportation prepaid within thirty days after the date of failure or within one year from the date of delivery of the apparatus to the
original purchaser, whichever occurs first, and inspection indicates the failure was attributed to defective material or workmanship.
 
The warranty on the chassis and chassis supplied components, storage batteries, generators, electrical lamps and other devices

subject to deterioration is limited to the warranty of the manufacturer thereof and adjustments for the same are to be made directly with
the manufacturer by the customer. 
 
This warranty will not apply to any fire apparatus that has been repaired or altered outside our factory in any way, which in our opinion

might effect its stability or reliability.  
 
This warranty shall not apply to those items that are usually considered normal maintenance and upkeep services: including, but not

limited to, normal lubrication or proper adjustment of minor auxiliary pumps or reels.
 
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, and all other obligations or liabilities on our part. We neither

assume nor authorize any person to assume for us any liability in connection with the sales of our apparatus unless made in writing by
EMERGENCY VEHICLES OF TEXAS.

FIRE PUMP WARRANTY
Express Warranty: HALE Products Inc. (HALE) hereby warrants to the original buyer that products manufactured by it are free of

defects in material and workmanship for two (2) years or 2000 hours usage whichever shall first occur. The "Warranty Period"
commences on the date the original buyer takes delivery of the product from the manufacturer.

LIMITATIONS: HALE'S obligation is expressly conditioned on the Product being:
> Subjected to normal use and service.
> Properly maintained in accordance with HALE'S Instruction Manual as to recommended services and procedures.
> Not damaged due to abuse, misuse, negligence or accidental causes.
> Not altered, modified, serviced (non-routine) or repaired other than by an Authorized Service Facility.
> Manufactured per design and specifications submitted by the original Buyer.

THE ABOVE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE, NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES ARE MADE. SPECIFICALLY
EXCLUDED ARE ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATIONS, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE; QUALITY; COURSE OF DEALING; USAGE OF
TRADE; OR PATENT INFRINGEMENT FOR A PRODUCT MANUFACTURED TO ORIGINAL BUYERS DESIGN AND SPECIFICATIONS.

EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES: If Buyer promptly notifies HALE upon discovery of any such defect (within the Warranty Period), the following
terms shall apply:
> Any notice to HALE must be in writing, identifying the Product (or component) claimed defective and circumstances according to
...failure.
> HALE reserves the right to physically inspect the Product and require Buyer to return same to HALE'S plant or other Authorized
...Service Facility
> In such event, Buyer must notify HALE for a Returned Goods Authorization number and Buyer must return the Product F.O.B. within
...(30) days thereof.
> If determined defective, HALE shall, at its option, repair or replace the Product, or refund the purchase price (less allowance for
...depreciation).
> Absent proper notice within the Warranty Period, HALE shall have no further liability or obligation to Buyer therefore.

THE REMEDIES PROVIDED ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AVAILABLE. IN NO EVENT SHALL HALE BE LIABLE
FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF LIFE; PERSONAL INJURY;
DAMAGE TO REAL OR PERSONAL PROPERTY DUE TO WATER OR FIRE; TRADE OR OTHER COMMERCIAL LOSSES ARISING,
DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OUT OF PRODUCT FAILURE.
 
TANK WARRANTY
PLAS-MAC, INC.  LIMITED WARRANTY AND NOTICE OF DISCLAIMER OF EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES
 
 
Plas-Mac, Inc. issues this limited warranty to the customer who is the original retail purchaser ("Customer") of a polypropylene tank (the

"Tank") (10 to 4000) gallons manufactured or sold by Plas-Mac, Inc. as follows:
 
     1.     Subject to the terms hereof, the Tank will be free of defects by reason of improper workmanship, manufacture, material, or structural failure for a period equal to the service life of the skid unit upon which the Tank is originally installed. Plas-Mac, Inc. will repair or replace -- at its option -- any defective Tank without charge to Customer when the terms hereof have satisfied.  The service life of the skid unit is equal to twenty-five (25) years.
 
     2.     To obtain warranty service, Customer must contact Plas-Mac. Inc. to arrange for repairs. The name and address of the nearest authorized business location or service center can be obtained from Plas-Mac, Inc. by calling the telephone number or writing to the address provided below.   The tank registration card must be on file at Plas-Mac, Inc. when requesting warranty service.
 
     3.     Should a defect occur the customer must notify Plas-Mac, Inc.  as soon as possible at 1-800-687-0128 or after hours please call 806-447-0069 Plas-Mac, Inc. will send a representative within 48 hours to repair the tank if it is rendered "out of service" because of the tank failure.  If the tank is still in service, a time will be set up for the repair.  The tank will be repaired and placed back into service.  If the structural integrity of the tank is compromised in any way the tank will be replaced.   Plas-Mac, Inc. will pay reasonable costs for the tank removal and replacement.  This service is only available in the continental United States.  Tanks outside the continental United States must be returned to Plas-Mac, Inc. for service or repair.
 
     4.      This warranty does not cover defects caused by (i) modification, alteration, repair, or service of a Tank by anyone other than a service center authorized by Plas-Mac, Inc.: (ii) physical abuse to or misuse of the Tank: or (iii) use of a Tank in a manner contrary to the instructions accompanying the Tank  (iv) accidents, fire, theft or vandalism.
 
     5.     ANY EXPRESS WARRANTY NOT PROVIDED HEREIN AND ANY REMEDY FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT WHICH, BUT THIS PROVISION, MIGHT ARISE BY IMPLICATION OR OPERATION OF LAW, IS EXCLUDED AND DISCLAIMED. THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXCLUDED EXCEPT AS HEREIN SET FORTH. *

     6.     UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL PLAS-MAC, INC. BE LIABLE TO CUSTOMER OR ANY OTHER PERSON FOR ANY SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHETHER ARISING OUT OF BREACH OF WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR OTHERWISE. PERFORMANCE OF REPAIRS AND NEEDED ADJUSTMENTS IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY. *
